Condors Open Training Camp Friday In Anaheim

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced that they will open training camp on Friday with a 3:30 p.m. practice at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. which is the home of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League.

The Condors are the ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League and the Iowa Chops of the American Hockey League. Dave Farrish, who coached in the ECHL from 2000-05, and Joe Trotta, who was an assistant coach in the ECHL in 2000-01, are assistant coaches for the Ducks.

The Condors will practice on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center.

Fans will have their first opportunity to see the team on Sunday when the Condors host their annual Open House & Family Day from 12-3 p.m. at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center.

Admission is two non-perishable food items and fans will be able to participate in a public skate following the team’s practice. In the past six years the Open House & Family Day has collected almost 16,000 pounds of food for the Kern County Food Bank.
