PRINCETON, N.J. – Bakersfield goaltender Davis Parley is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for April 4-9. He is the second Condor to receive the honor in 2004-05, joining Randy Petruk, who was the first Reebok Hockey Saver of the Week on October 26.
The 6-2 and 190-pound Parley went 2-0-0 with a 3.00 goals-against average and .913 save percentage against defending Kelly Cup Champion Idaho as Bakersfield clinched its first-ever Kelly Cup Playoffs berth. Parley stopped 38 shots in a 5-3 win on April 8, giving the Steelheads their first loss in regulation in 19 games, and made 25 saves in a 4-3 win on April 9.
Since being acquired in a trade with Texas on March 24, the 22-year-old Parley is 3-2-1 with a 2.87 goals-against average and .922 save percentage with Bakersfield. He was 5-13-7 with a 3.50 goals-against average and .916 save percentage in 27 games with the Wildcatters.
