Condors Sign Pair Of Rookies

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- The Bakersfield Condors announced that they have signed forward Louis-Philippe Martin and defenseman Florian Iberer.

Selected in the ninth round (266th overall) in 2003 National Hockey league Entry Draft, the 20-year-old Martin enters his rookie season after spending four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 2004-05, he scored 65 points (37g-28a) in 54 regular season games and nine points (5g-4a) in six postseason games with Drummondville.

The 6-0 Iberer, spent the last six years in the Austrian League where he recorded a total of 20 points (4g- 16a) and 95 penalty minutes in 202 games. He also won the silver medal with the Austrian National Team at the IIHF World Junior Championships in 2002.
