Condors sign rookie forward Greiner
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announced that the team has signed rookie forward Luke Greiner for the 2013-14 season.
Greiner, 23, played four seasons at Harvard University, appearing in 123 games and tallying 43 points (21g-22a). His best season came as a senior when he finished second on the team in scoring with 19 points (8g-11a) in 32 games. A native of Fairbault, Minn., Grenier netted a hat trick in last season's Beanpot Tournament consolation game and was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team in 2011-12.
He spent one season in junior hockey in the United States Hockey League with Sioux Falls, finishing fourth on the team in scoring with 39 points (17g-22a) in 59 games. Grenier attended the prestigious Shattuck St. Mary's Prep School in 2006-07, scoring 40 points (21g-19a) in 63 games.
