Cyclones add MacDonald and Bourret

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Bourret, a 25-year-old Drummondville, Quebec native was selected as the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers. The five-foot-ten-inch, 205 pound forward played the majority of the 2011-12 season for the Wichita Thunder (CHL) where he added 57 points (20g-37a) and led the team with 168 penalty minutes. He also logged six games for the Worchester Sharks (AHL) a year ago. In 2010-11, Bourret saw action in 42 games for the Ontario Reign where he contributed 37 points (12g-25a) before leaving to play overseas in Asia. His first three seasons of professional hockey were all played at the AHL level; he appeared with the Chicago Wolves, Hartford Wolf Pack, and San Antonio Rampage. During those three seasons Bourret amassed 97 points (28g-69a) and 180 penalty minutes. Prior to going pro, he played four years of hockey in the QMJHL.
