Cyclones agree to terms with defenseman Reed


CINCINNATI, Ohio – The
Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Chris Reed for the 2013-14 season.

Reed, a 25-year-old Solon, Ohio native, will return for his third season as a professional this fall. A year ago, he notched a career-high 18 points (1g-17a) in 59 games with the Cyclones. In addition, he finished fourth among all ECHL players (and second among defensemen) in the plus/minus category by posting a +26 rating. During the Kelly Cup Playoffs, the former Ohio State Buckeye contributed with five assists in 17 contests. Reed also spent some time in the American Hockey League during the 2012-13 campaign; he collectively logged eight games with the Springfield Falcons, Houston Aeros, and Lake Erie Monsters.
