Cyclones Agree To Terms With Grover, Makway

CINCINNATI – The Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones announced that they have agreed to terms with defensemen Donny Grover and Steve Makway.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League and the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. Peter Horachek, who coached two seasons in the ECHL, is an assistant coach with the Predators.

The 25-year-old Grover had two penalty minutes in three games with Reading in 2007-08 before being traded on Nov. 28 to Columbia where he had seven points (1g-6a) and 34 penalty minutes in 20 games prior to departing for Germany where he had five points (1g-4a) and 28 penalty minutes in 15 games for Bietigheim-Bissingen.

The 25-year-old Makway played in the Central Hockey League in 2007-08 and had 43 points (11g-32a) and 147 penalty minutes in 64 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) and six penalty minutes in three playoff games for Mississippi.
