CINCINNATI – Entering the Kelly Cup Finals, Cincinnati Cyclones coach Chuck Weber anticipated a drawn-out tug-of-war with the Las Vegas Wranglers.
The teams seem to be on track for just that after splitting the first two games at U.S. Bank Arena.
Next in the best-of-seven series: Games 3, 4 and 5 in Las Vegas. Action resumes at 10:05 p.m. ET on Thursday when the Cyclones face the Wranglers at Orleans Arena.
The Cyclones left Cincinnati reeling from Sunday’s 1-0 loss, which was decided with 4:20 left in regulation on an Adam Miller goal. Weber said the Cyclones were on the receiving end of a bad bounce.
But he was pleased with their intensity and likes their chances in Las Vegas.
“If we keep playing with the same effort, with the same attention to detail and keeping it simple, I think we’ll be OK,” Weber said.
