Cyclones Receive Werner From Milwaukee

CINCINNATI – The Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones announced that the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League have assigned forward Stephen Werner to Cincinnati.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the Admirals and the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL and the Nashville Predators and the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League.

The 24 year old had 21 points (6g-15a) and 24 penalty minutes in 24 regular season games and 15 points (6g-9a) and eight penalty minutes in six Kelly Cup Playoff games for South Carolina in 2007-08. He also played in the AHL where he had 13 points (9g-4a) and 23 penalty minutes in 30 games for Springfield and five points (1g-4a) and two penalty minutes in eight games with Hershey.
