Cyclones Sign Rookie Forward Rogers

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Cyclones announced that they have signed rookie forward Matt Rogers.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League and the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

The 20-year-old played, who for Cincinnati in its 4-2 loss at Reading on Tuesday, began his professional career with the Cyclones and had one assist and 10 penalty minutes in seven games before being released by the team in November.

Following his release by Cincinnati, he played in the Central Hockey League where he had two goals and four penalty minutes in six games with Rio Grande Valley and in the United Hockey League where he had two points (1g-1a) in 10 games with Chicago.
