Cyclones welcome back Budish


CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Cyclones have signed forward Zach Budish for the 2015-2016 season.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League’s Milwaulkee Admirals.

The 24-year-old posted 23 points (8g-15a) in 30 games for Cincinnati last season, however he spent the bulk of the year with the Admirals, where he tallied 14 points (6g-8a) in 43 contests.

Drafted in the second round (41st overall) by Nashville in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Budish split time between Cincinnati and Milwaukee in 2013-14 as well, skating in 16 games with the Cyclones and accounting for nine points (3g-6a). He spent the first half of the season with the Admirals where he saw an identical stat line of three goals and six assists.

Prior to turning pro in 2013, Budish enjoyed a successful collegiate career at the University of Minnesota, where he amassed 94 points (35g-59a) over four seasons, and served as team captain during his senior year in 2012-13.
