Dansk reassigned to K-Wings, Munroe recalled to AHL

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings announced that goaltender Oscar Dansk has been reassigned to the club by the Columbus Blue Jackets from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. The Falcons have also called up Scott Munroe.

Currently in his rookie campaign, Dansk was selected by the Blue Jackets in the second round (31st overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. For the past two seasons, Dansk played for the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. Dansk had a well decorated 2013-14 season for the Otters as he was an OHL Third Team All-Star and received the Dave Pinkney Trophy, for the lowest team goals-against average (2.39). No stranger to international competition, Dansk earned silver medals for Team Sweden in each of the past three World Junior Hockey Championships. In last year’s championships, Dansk received the Best Goaltender Award during the tournament.

Munroe has appeared in one game for the K-Wings this season, stopping 23 of 25 shots, in addition to seeing action in four games with Springfield where he is 2-2-0 with a 2.79 goals-against average.
