STOCKTON, Calif. – The Stockton Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, announced defenseman Nathan Deck has been reassigned to the Thunder from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
The 5-foot-11 and 185 pound blueliner has racked up 22 points (7g-15a) in 28 games with the Thunder this season and last left for the AHL on March 21 tied for the team lead with a +8 rating. He also collected eight points (1g-7a) in 33 AHL games with the Barons this season.
In 88 career ECHL games with Stockton, Deck has earned 48 points (14g-35a) and posted a +18 rating. Deck was selected as a starter for the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game but was unable to participate due to recall to Oklahoma City. He was a part of last year’s team that advanced to the second round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs after sweeping Colorado in the opening round. Deck received the Thunder “Unsung Hero” award last season as a rookie and previously totaled 118 points and 198 penalty minutes in 277 career junior games in the Western Hockey League with Vancouver and Prince Albert.
