Desrochers Assigned To Texas,
Osaer Called Up By Rampage

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Texas Wildcatters announced that goaltender Patrick Desrochers has been assigned by San Antonio of the American Hockey League and that goaltender Phil Osaer has been called up to San Antonio.

Desrochers is expected to be in the lineup on Thursday when Texas hosts South Carolina. Texas is the ECHL affiliate of San Antonio of the AHL and Florida of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the first round (14th overall) by Phoenix in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Desrochers is 7-12-1 with a goals-against average of 2.68 and a save percentage of .897 in 25 games with San Antonio.

Selected in the seventh round (203rd overall) by St. Louis in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Osaer ranks third in the ECHL with 912 saves in 29 games.

Desrochers has played 11 games in the National Hockey League with Phoenix and Carolina and 228 games in the American Hockey League with Springfield, Lowell and San Antonio.
