Dwyer Assigned To Gladiators From Chicago

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that defenseman Jeff Dwyer has been assigned to the team from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Wolves of the AHL and the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League.

The first high school player drafted by the Thrashers, Dwyer was selected in the sixth round (178th overall) by Atlanta in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. The 24-year-old has played one game with Chicago.

In 2004-05, the 6-foot-2 and 205-pound Dwyer had five penalty minutes in two games with Gwinnett and two assists and six penalty minutes in nine games with Chicago.
