ECHL announces fine, suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Monday announced that Elmira’s Mario Larocque has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #H-2, Florida at Elmira, on April 14.

Larocque was assessed a match penalty Rule #21.1 for attempting to injure under an opponent at 5:04 of the second period.

Larocque will miss Elmira’s playoff game at Florida on April 16.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
