ECHL announces fine, suspension
PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Wednesday announced the following fine and suspension.
Greenville’s Wilson suspended
Greenville’s Jason Wilson has been suspended one additional game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #813, South Carolina at Greenville, on March 29.
Wilson was assessed a match penalty for illegal check to the head under Rule #48.5 at 17:34 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Wilson missed Greenville’s game at Gwinnett on March 30 and will miss Greenville’s playoff game at Reading on April 5.
Elmira’s Harvey fined
Elmira’s Kevin Harvey has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #819, Elmira at Reading, on March 30.
Harvey is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
