ECHL Announces Fines And Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced the following fines and suspension today.

Elmira and Trenton Organizations Fined

The Elmira Jackals and Trenton Devils organizations have been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their players’ actions prior to the start of ECHL Game #689, Elmira at Trenton, on March 28.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Elmira’s Turner, Trenton’s Cormier Fined

The ECHL announced that Brennan Turner of the Elmira Jackals and Kevin Cormier of the Trenton Devils have been fined an undisclosed amount for their actions prior to the start of ECHL Game #689 on March 28.

Both Turner and Cormier are fined under Rule 29 Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Las Vegas’ Frank Suspended, Fined

The ECHL announced that Chris Frank of the Las Vegas Wranglers has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #684, Las Vegas at Stockton, on March 28.

Frank was assessed a match penalty at 8:20 of the third period, and is suspended and fined under Rule #21.1 – Match Penalty.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Frank will miss Las Vegas’ game against Ontario on April 1.
