ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

 

Victoria’s Turek Fined, Suspended

 

Victoria’s Ryan Turek has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #400, Las Vegas at Victoria, on Jan. 28.

 

Turek is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.


Turek missed Victoria’s game against Las Vegas on Jan. 29.

 
 

Idaho’s Barlow Fined, Suspended

 

Idaho’s Evan Barlow has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #413, Idaho at Stockton, on Jan. 30.

 

Barlow is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Barlow will miss Idaho’s games vs. Ontario on Feb. 1 and vs. Bakersfield on Feb. 9.
