ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

 

Bakersfield’s Kaip Fined

 

Bakersfield’s Rylan Kaip has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #98, Utah at Bakersfield, on Nov. 12.


Kaip received a major penalty and game misconduct for butt-ending at 2:48 of the third period.
 

He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.


Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
 
 

 
Bakersfield’s Tordjman Fined, Suspended

 

Bakersfield’s Josh Tordjman has been suspended six games and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #107, Utah at Bakersfield, on Nov. 13. 


Tordjman was assessed a game misconduct for physical abuse of officials under Rule #40.4 – Category III.
 

He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.


Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
 

Tordjman will miss Bakersfield’s games vs. Victoria (Nov. 17), vs. Las Vegas (Nov. 19), vs. Victoria (Nov. 20), vs. Utah (Nov. 24 and Nov. 27) and at Ontario (Dec. 1).

 

Victoria’s Vandermeer Fined, Suspended
 

Victoria’s Peter Vandermeer has been suspended eight games and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #113, Victoria at Las Vegas, on Nov. 13.

 
Vandermeer received a spearing major and game misconduct, a match penalty for deliberate attempt to injure under Rule #21.1 and a game misconduct for physical abuse of officials under Rule #40.4 – Category III at 18:15 of the second period.
 

He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Vandermeer will miss Victoria’s games at Bakersfield (Nov. 17), at Ontario (Nov. 19), at Bakersfield (Nov. 20), at Stockton (Nov. 21), vs. Idaho (Nov. 24, Nov. 26 and Nov. 27) and vs. Stockton (Dec. 1).

 
Stockton’s Hunt Fined, Suspended
 

Stockton’s Garet Hunt has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #111, Stockton at Idaho, on Nov. 13.

 
Hunt received a match penalty under Rule #21.1 at 15:21 of the first period.
 

He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
 

Hunt will miss Stockton’s games against Idaho on Nov. 18 and Nov. 20.

 
Elmira Organization Fined
 

The ECHL announced that the Elmira organization has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of actions during ECHL Game #109, Trenton at Elmira, on Nov. 13.

 

The organization is fined under Rule #75.3(i) – Objects On Ice.

 

Elmira’s Cameron Fined

 


The ECHL announced that it has fined Elmira head coach Malcolm Cameron an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions following ECHL Game #109, Trenton at Elmira, on Nov. 13.

 

Cameron was assessed a game misconduct at the end of the game.

 

Cameron is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
