ECHL announces fines, suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Thursday announced that Trenton’s Mike Banwell and Wheeling’s Scooter Vaughan have each been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of their actions following ECHL Game #209, Wheeling at Trenton, on Dec. 7.

Both players are fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Banwell will miss Trenton’s game at Reading tonight and Vaughan will miss Wheeling’s game vs. Reading on Friday.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
