ECHL announces fines, suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspension.

Utah’s Emmerson fined, suspended

Utah’s Riley Emmerson has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #213, Utah at Alaska, on Dec. 9.

Emmerson was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing at 19:24 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Emmerson will miss Utah’s game at Alaska tonight and its game against Colorado on Dec. 14.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Bakersfield, Stockton organizations fined

The Bakersfield and Stockton organizations have each been fined an undisclosed amount as a result as a result of their players’ actions prior to the start of ECHL Game #214, Stockton at Bakersfield, on Dec 9.
