ECHL announces fines, suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Thursday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Elmira’s Harvey fined, suspended

Elmira’s Kevin Harvey has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #290, Elmira at Reading, on Dec. 28.

Harvey is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Harvey will miss Elmira’s games vs. Wheeling (Dec. 30), at Trenton (Dec. 31) and vs. South Carolina (Jan. 6).

Reading’s Labelle fined, suspended

Reading’s Olivier Labelle has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #290, Elmira at Reading, on Dec. 28.

Labelle is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Labelle will miss Reading’s games vs. Trenton (Dec. 30) and at Wheeling (Dec. 31).
