ECHL announces fines, suspensions


The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Orlando’s Harvey fined, suspended

Orlando’s Myles Harvey has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #15, Orlando at Florida, on Oct. 12.

Harvey is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline. Harvey delivered a check to the head of an opponent in which the head was the main point of contact, causing injury to the opponent.

Harvey will miss Orlando’s games at Florida (Oct. 18) vs. Florida (Oct. 19) and vs. Gwinnett (Oct. 26 and Oct. 27).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Utah’s Paquette fined, suspended

Utah’s Danick Paquette has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #20, Utah at Idaho, on Oct. 12.

Paquette was assessed a penalty for charging under Rule #42.2 at 14:15 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Paquette will miss Utah’s game vs. Idaho on Oct. 18.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
