ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.

 
Elmira’s Mirasty Fined, Suspended
 

Elmira’s Jon Mirasty has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #317, Kalamazoo at Elmira, on Jan. 8.

 

Mirasty was assessed a game misconduct for continuing an altercation, as well as a match penalty, at 15:40 of the third period.

 

Mirasty is suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Mirasty missed Elmira’s game against Reading on Jan. 9 and will miss Elmira’s game at Toledo on Jan. 12.

 
 

Trenton’s Dean Fined

 

Trenton head coach Kevin Dean has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions following ECHL Game #312, Trenton at South Carolina, on Jan. 7.

 

Dean was assessed a game misconduct at the end of the game.

 
Dean is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
