ECHL mourns loss of former player Rufenach
PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL and its member teams mourn the loss and express their condolences to the family and friends of former ECHL defenseman Bryan Rufenach, who passed away this week while traveling in Switzerland. He was 23 years old.
Rufenach played in 60 games with Toledo over the previous two seasons, scoring 35 points (14g-21a) while also tallying two assists in 13 games with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. A seventh round selection (208th overall) by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Rufenach played four seasons of collegiate hockey at Clarkson University.
