The South Carolina Stingrays will sell t-shirts with former goalie Kirk Daubenspeck’s No. 29 on it to raise funds for the Kirk Daubenspeck Medical Fund during Saturday’s game against Florida.
Daubenspeck was injured last Thursday in a major car accident near Madison, Wisc. He is currently in stable condition in a Madison-area hospital. Daubenspeck appeared in 236 ECHL games with South Carolina, Jacksonville and Chesapeake from 1997-2005 going 141-70-20. He helped lead the Stingrays to their second Kelly Cup championship in 2001 and was inducted into the Stingrays’ Hall of Fame in 2007.
The Kirk Daubenspeck Medical Fund is being established at the State Bank of Cross Plains, 455 S. Junction Road, Madison, Wisc. 53717.
