* Checkers’ Eduard Pershin had 11 points (4g-7a) against Columbia in eight regular season games.

* Bobby Russell’s goal in Game 1 gives him nine goals in 10 games against Long Beach in 2004-05.

* Frank Doyle stopped 23 of 26 shots in Game 1.
