Kalamazoo Wings at Elmira Jackals                                                                        7:05 p.m. ET 

·     Kalamazoo’s Sam Ftorek is third in ECHL history with 767 career games played.

·     Elmira head coach Jamie Russell is making his professional head coaching debut.

·     K-Wings have won North Division title in four of their five ECHL seasons.

·     Jackals have reached the Kelly Cup Playoffs in six of their seven ECHL seasons.  

 

South Carolina Stingrays at Florida Everblades                                                      7:30 p.m. ET 

·     Wayne Simpson was second on South Carolina with 22 goals last season.

·     Florida head coach Greg Poss is 152-105-31 in four years with the team.

·     Stingrays’ head coach Spencer Carbery won 2013-14 John Brophy Award as ECHL Coach of the Year.

·     Everblades are opening the season at home for the fifth straight year.  

 

Fort Wayne Komets at Indy Fuel                                                                             7:30 p.m. ET 

·     Fort Wayne’s Matthew Pistilli has 149 points (59g-90a) in 143 career ECHL games.

·     Indy head coach Scott Hillman is 253-148-39 in seven seasons as a professional head coach.

·     Komets’ head coach Gary Graham went 36-24-12 in his first season as an ECHL coach.

·     Fuel play five of their first seven games at home.  

 

Idaho Steelheads at Utah Grizzlies                                                                           7 p.m. MT 

·     Idaho head coach Brad Ralph is 84-46-14 in two seasons with the club.

·     Utah was third in the ECHL last season with 2.44 goals-against per game.

·     Steelheads have reached Kelly Cup Playoffs in each of their 10 ECHL seasons.

·     Grizzlies are 5-1-0 in their last six season openers.  

 

Colorado Eagles at Rapid City Rush                                                                        7:05 p.m. MT 

·     Colorado’s Kent Simpson was sixth in the ECHL with 2.36 goals-against average in 2012-13 with Toledo.

·     Rapid City’s Jesse Schultz was sixth among ECHL rookies with 27 goals with Columbia in 2003-04.

·     Eagles’ head coach Chris Stewart is 358-184-55 in nine seasons with the club.

·     Rush head coach Joe Ferras scored 198 points (77g-121a) in 95 career ECHL games with Winston-Salem and Richmond from 1989-91.  

 

Stockton Thunder at Bakersfield Condors                                                               7 p.m. PT 

·     Stockton’s Garet Hunt is the club’s all-time leader with 383 career games played.

·     Bakersfield head coach J.F. Houle makes his professional coaching debut.

·     Thunder have reached Kelly Cup Playoffs in each of the last eight seasons.

·     Condors defeated Stockton 4 games to 1 in 2014 Western Conference Semifinals.

·     Ontario head coach Jason Christie is nine games shy of becoming just fourth coach in ECHL history to reach 800-games coached plateau.

·     Alaska head coach Rob Murray ranks third all-time in ECHL history with a .698 winning percentage (137-52-26).

·     Reign have won Pacific Division title for three straight seasons and four times in six seasons.

·     Aces have won Brabham Cup as regular-season champion in each of the last four seasons.
