CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones announced today that they have agreed to terms with veteran forward Barret Ehgoetz for the 2010-11 season.
The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators and Florida Panthers of the National Hockey Legaue and the Milwaukee Admirals and Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Ehgoetz, a Kincardine, Ontario native, returns for his fifth year in Cincinnati. He owns 21 team records including the career scoring lead (233 points), games played (271), assists (152), shorthanded goals (eight) and shots on goal (696). In the 2009-10 regular season, the Cyclones Captain logged 69 games – scoring 23 goals and 40 assists.
Ehgoetz has been part of both of Cincinnati’s Kelly Cup championship teams, and last season earned the ECHL Sportsmanship Award in a vote of the league’s coaches.
