Eight Players Join Idaho From Iowa

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads announced that the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League had assigned the team goaltender Steve Silverthorn, defensemen Jarad Bourassa, Tyrell Moulton and Jim Hakewill, right wing Garrett Bembridge, centers Brad Thompson and Dan Hacker, and forward Mike Stutzel.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the Stars of the AHL and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League.

The 24-year-old Silverthorn has played the last four seasons at Colgate University where he was 55-30-9 in 100 career games.

In his first professional season in 2004-05, the 6-foot and 195-pound Bourassa had 35 points (16g-19a) and 63 penalty minutes in 60 games with Oklahoma City in the Central Hockey League.
