Everblades Acquire All-Star Tifu From Dayton

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that they have acquired All-Star forward Yannick Tifu from the Dayton Bombers in exchange for forwards Jarret Lukin and Mike McLean, defenseman Steve Czech and future considerations.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League and the Albany River Rats and the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

The 23-year-old Tifu had 57 points (15g-42a) and 39 penalty minutes in 39 regular season games and was voted as a starter for the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game. He also played in the AHL where he had five points (2g-3a) in nine games for Albany and three points (1g-2a) and 15 penalty minutes in 15 games for Rochester.
