Everblades, Panthers Announce Affiliation

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that they have reached an affiliation agreement with the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

The Everblades will continue to be the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the NHL and the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

“We are thrilled to be able to sign with Florida for this upcoming season,” said Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush. “We are obviously looking forward to seeing some of the Panthers top prospects here in Estero.”

“We are very happy to sign a deal with the Florida Everblades as Mr. Brush and Coach Gerry Fleming have shown year after year the ability to put a quality winning-product on the ice which was very important to us,” said Panthers general manager Mike Keenan. “The deal made perfect sense for us as we now have a quality affiliate to send our younger prospects, but there’s the added bonus that we will have plenty of opportunities to watch these players in action with the Everblades being only 90 minutes away.”
