Everblades Sign Rookie Johnson
Albany Recalls Parsons, Peters

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that they have signed rookie goaltender Josh Johnson (pictured) and that the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League have recalled forward Brad Parsons and goaltender Justin Peters.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the River Rats of the AHL and the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

The 23-year-old Johnson recently completed his season at the University of Minnesota Duluth where he was 8-7-2 with a goals-against average of 2.14 and a save percentage of .922 in 18 games. He played four seasons for the Bulldogs and was 22-20-4 with a goals-against average of 2.71 and a save percentage of .905 in 51 games from 2003-07.
