Estero, Fla. – Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Greg Poss, announced Friday that the team has agreed to contract terms with defenseman Bryce Lampman.
The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League and the Charlotte Checkers and Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Lampman, 31, has over 500 games of professional experience, including three stints with the NHL’s New York Rangers. A native of Rochester, Minn., Lampman was a fourth-round selection (113th overall) by the Rangers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
Lampman has spent the bulk of his career in the American Hockey League, appearing in 394 games with Hartford, Norfolk, Iowa, Houston, Peoria and Portland. Last season, he tallied 12 points (3g-9a) in 21 ECHL games with Orlando.
