Falcons Acquire Heid, Kelman

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have acquired center Scott Kelman from the Gwinnett Gladiators in exchange for future considerations and that they have acquired defenseman Chris Heid from the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for future considerations.

Kelman is currently playing in the American Hockey League where he has five points (3g-2a) and 12 penalty minutes in six games with the Lowell Lock Monsters. He has also played for Manitoba in the AHL where he has two assists and two penalty minutes as well as two games for Hershey in the AHL. He has 47 points (14g-33a) and 104 penalty minutes in 46 games with the Gladiators.

Heid is currently with Cleveland of the American Hockey League, but has yet to appear in a game for the Barons. He has 20 points (4g-16a) and 69 penalty minutes in 50 games with Pensacola and one assist and 14 penalty minutes in four games with Houston of the AHL.
