Falcons Honor Military

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons will celebrate Veterans Day at Save Mart Center by wearing military-themed jerseys for their games against Utah on Friday and San Diego on Saturday.

The jerseys will be auctioned off following Saturday’s game with proceeds benefiting Operation Soldier’s Patriot Down Foundation which helps alleviate the financial burden on the families of wounded soldiers who are recuperating at out-of-town military hospitals.

The 509th Military Band will perform the national anthem on Friday and the Falcons will introduce military veterans from World War II to present, including Army staff sergeant Michael Toews, a Fresno police officer wounded in Iraq on October 1 who will drop the ceremonial first puck.
