Falcons Re-Sign Borrelli, Day

FRESNO Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have re-signed forward Dave Borrelli and defenseman Riley Day. Borrelli and Day were both traded on Dec. 1 from Cincinnati.

The Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

In his first season, Borrelli had 18 points (8g-10a) and 49 penalty minutes in 55 regular season games with Fresno and had four points (1g-3a) and nine penalty minutes in six Kelly Cup Playoff games. Borrelli also had a goal and four penalty minutes in seven games with Cincinnati and an assist and four penalty minutes in five games with Reading.

Day in his first season had a goal and two assists and 124 penalty minutes in 36 regular season games with Fresno. Day had two assists and 28 penalty minutes in 14 regular season games with Cincinnati.
