Falcons Re-Sign Krestanovich

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons have re-signed center Derek Krestanovich for 2005-06.

Selected in the third round (92nd overall) by the Washington Capitals in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 22-year-old led Falcons rookies and finished fourth on the team with 43 points (20g-23a) while ranking third on the team with 20 goals in 65 games in 2004-05.

The 6-foot-1 and 175-pound Krestanovich played five seasons in the Western Hockey League. In 2003-04, he scored eight points (3g-5a) in 28 regular season games and three points (0g-3a) in five playoff games with Swift Current while also scoring 29 points (7g-22a) in 40 regular season games with Moose Jaw.
