FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have re-signed 2006 All-Star MVP Luke Curtin (pictured) and 2004 All-Star J.F. Plourde.
The Fresno Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.
Curtin led the league on the power play with 37 assists and tied for the lead with 45 power-play points while finishing second with 61 assists and sixth with 82 points in 64 games in 2005-06. He was chosen as a starter for the National Conference in the 2006 All-Star game in Fresno, Calif., marking his fourth ECHL All-Star game appearance.
In his first season with the Falcons, the 24-year-old Plourde tied for the team lead with 30 goals and 15 power-play goals and was second with 36 points on the power play. He finished third with 35 assists and 65 points in 69 games.
