Glens Falls, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced that they have signed forward Kyle Flanagan.
Flanagan joins the Thunder for his third season of professional hockey. His career includes 76 games with the American Hockey League’s Adirondack Phantoms during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. The 26-year-old joined the Phantoms for the end of the 2012-13 season, where he collected seven points (1g-6a) over 13 games. Flanagan spent the 2013-14 season with the Phantoms as well, where he appeared in 63 games and recorded 22 points (6g-16a). Flanagan spent last season with MODO in the Swedish Hockey League, where he collected 15 points (4g-11a) over 38 games.
The Canton, N.Y. native played his collegiate hockey with St. Lawrence University. Flanagan put together a dynamic senior season in 2012-13, where he tied for the ECAC lead with 32 assists and finished second in the league with 47 points. Flanagan ended his career with the Saints with 147 points (46g-101a) in 136 career games, which places him 11th all-time in scoring in St. Lawrence history.
