Fletcher, 24, made his pro debut with the Nailers on March 20, and proceeded to play in each of the club’s next five games, following a four-year collegiate career at the College of the Holy Cross. He registered one assist and eight shots on goal in the five contests
While with the Crusaders, Fletcher tallied 82 points (33g-49a) and added 67 penalty minutes in 108 games. Fletcher’s most productive season came as a sophomore, when he led the team with 38 points (16g-22a) while his 16 goals were eighth on the school’s all-time list for most goals in a season in Division I. That performance earned Fletcher the team’s Seventh Player Award – given to the player who performed above expectations.
