Florida Acquires Bergin From Las Vegas

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that they have acquired forward Kevin Bergin from the Las Vegas Wranglers in exchange for futures and financial considerations.

Bergin, who turned 24 on Sunday, is expected to be in uniform for the Everblades when they play at Gwinnett on Friday.

Bergin has two points (0g-2a) and 11 penalty minutes in four games with Las Vegas.

In 2004-05, he had 15 points (6g-9a) and 20 penalty minutes in 15 regular season games and six penalty minutes in four Kelly Cup Playoff games for Toledo and 39 points (13g-26a) and 90 penalty minutes in 56 games with Greenville.

The 6-foot-2 and 200-pound Bergin has played five seasons in the ECHL with Greenville, Toledo, Reading, Trenton, Pensacola, Cincinnati, Roanoke and Las Vegas and has 107 points (38g-69a) and 429 penalty minutes in 238 regular season games and four points (1g-3a) and six penalty minutes in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff games.
