Florida Signs Forward Carlson

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that they have signed forward Ross Carlson.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League and the Albany River Rats and the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Carlson had 38 points (18g-20a) and 36 penalty minutes in 49 games with the Texas Wildcatters while also playing in the American Hockey League where he had a goal in three games with the Rockford IceHogs and four points (1g-3a) and two penalty minutes in 16 regular season games while also playing in four playoff games with the Houston Aeros in 2007-08.

The 26 year old played four seasons at the University of Wisconsin where he had 90 points (33g-57a) and 119 penalty minutes in 131 games and helped the Badgers win the national championship in 2005-06.
