Former Wildcatters Albers, Kopriva
To Attend Minnesota Prospects Camp

HOUSTON – The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League announced that ECHL All-Star defenseman Paul Albers and goaltender Miroslav Kopriva, who both played for the Texas Wildcatters as rookies in 2006-07, are scheduled to attend the Minnesota Wild’s Prospects Camp being held July 24-30.

The Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate of the Wild of the National Hockey League and the Aeros of the AHL.

The 21-year-old Albers was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team and finished second in voting for CCM Tacks ECHL Rookie of the Year and was voted to the ECHL All-Star Game. He had 43 points (12g-31a) in 68 regular season games and six points (1g-5a) in nine Kelly Cup Playoff games for Texas and two penalty minutes in five games with Houston.

Selected in the sixth round (187th overall) and under NHL contract to the Wild, the 23-year-old Kopriva was 9-1-2 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 3.03 and a save percentage of .898 in 21 games for Texas. He was 3-6-1 with a goals-against average of 3.72 and a save percentage of .899 in 13 games with Houston and was called up twice to the NHL to serve as the backup goaltender for the Wild.
