Fresno Beats Stockton 4-2

FRESNO, Calif. – Four different players scored goals as the Fresno Falcons beat the Stockton Thunder 4-2 in a preseason game on Wednesday at Gateway Ice Center.

Following a scoreless first period, the Falcons scored two power-play goals in a minute while Stockton attempted to kill off a major penalty. J.F. Plourde gave Fresno a 1-0 lead at 4:31 and Shawn Weiman made it 2-0 at 5:03. Mike Lalonde scored a power-play goal at 8:46 to make it 2-1 at the end of two periods.

Fresno took a 3-1 lead at 4:46 of the third on a goal by Brett Hammond, but former Falcon Mike Kiesman made it 3-2 with a power-play goal. Just over a minute later, however, Pete Fregoe scored the insurance goal for the Falcons to make it 4-2.
