Gardiner Signs With Salmon Kings

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that they have signed forward Pete Gardiner.

Selected in the fifth round (120th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1997 NLH Entry Draft, the 6-foot-5 and 220-pound Gardiner played in Germany in 2004-05 registering 61 points (28g-33a) and 149 penalty minutes in 47 games with the Leipzig Ice Lions.

In 2003-04, the 27-year-old had 21 points (6g-15a) in 17 games with Greensboro in the ECHL and five points (3g-2a) in 18 games with Rochester in the American Hockey League.

Gardiner has played four seasons in the ECHL with Jackson, Greensboro and Roanoke and has 148 points (64g-84a) and 287 penalty minutes in 213 regular season games and five points (2g-3a) and 16 penalty minutes in 12 Kelly Cup Playoff games.
