DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that the Second-Annual Gladiators Jersey Auction sponsored by Kroger, 96 Rock and Charter Communications raised $28,175. The Gladiators Foundation for Kids will donate the proceeds from the auction to local children’s charities.
Gwinnett turned back the clock for its game on Friday, wearing special tie-dyed jerseys that featured a swirl pattern of red, gold and white and a unique 60s-style Gladiators logo on the chest.
“We are very thankful and appreciative of our fans support. The auction is the main fundraiser for the Gladiators Foundation for Kids and we are proud that it generated such great support in its second season. I think the fans will enjoy the one-of-a-kind jerseys that certainly catch the eye,” said Gladiators General Manager Steve Chapman. “The biggest winners will be the local children’s charities and it will be a pleasure to distribute these monies and to see the good that it can do.”
