Gladiators Campbell Called Up To Grand Rapids

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that ECHL Most Valuable Player Jeff Campbell has been called up to the American Hockey League by the Grand Rapids Griffins.

In his third professional season, the 25-year-old is second on the team and tied for second in the league with 17 points while his 13 assists are second on the team.

Campbell was named First Team All-ECHL in 2005-06 after being named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team in 2004-05 and he has been voted to the ECHL All-Star Game each of his first two professional seasons.

In 2005-06, he tied for second in the league with seven game-winning goals and five shorthand goals and was fifth with 53 assists and 83 points in 62 games for the Gladiators while also playing in the AHL where he had two points (1g-1a) in seven games for Lowell.
