DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that goaltender Louis Domingue has been reassigned to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.
The 21-year-old Domingue has a 3.01 goals against average and an .887 save percentage in three appearances with the Gladiators this season. The Mont St-Hilarie, Quebec native had a stellar 2012-13 campaign in Gwinnett, posting a 23-9-2 record with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.
This is Domingue’s second career callup to the AHL. Last season, he spent part of February with the Pirates, appearing in two games and picking up his first career AHL win. Domingue was a fifth-round selection (138th overall) by the Coyotes in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
